  • Parental Custody: Monitoring data is only collected on minor children under the legal custody and supervision of their registered parents or legal guardians.
  • Data Minimization: We only collect information essential for providing the monitoring services enabled by the account holder.
  • Strict Encryption: All child device logs, message backups, media logs, and telemetry are encrypted end-to-end (E2EE) in transit and at rest.
  • No Data Sharing: We do not sell, rent, lease, or share parental or child data with any marketing networks or third parties.

2. Information We Collect

When using the NexaGuard software and online portal, the following data points may be captured:

  • Parent Account Info: Full name, email address, password hash, subscription status, and basic billing metadata (excluding complete credit card details, which are handled directly by secure payment processors).
  • Device Telemetry: Battery life, network status, Wi-Fi connection, storage capacity, operating system version, and device name of both parent and child terminals.
  • Location Data: Real-time GPS location coordinates and geofenced safe-zones histories.
  • Application Logs: Lists of installed apps and background app usage statistics.
  • Communication Monitoring (Child Device): Monitored SMS records, incoming/outgoing call details (caller name, number, duration), and synced contacts.

3. How We Process the Data

We process collected data exclusively to power the parental monitoring features on your admin dashboard. This includes calculating screen time charts, displaying map markers, triggering emergency SOS keyword alerts, and compiling usage reports.

4. Data Security & Storage

We implement strict security protocols to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, or leaks:

  • SSL/TLS protocols for all API exchanges.
  • Advanced cryptographic algorithms safeguarding database stored logs.
  • Server firewalls and continuous database penetration scans.
  • Auto-purge schedules allowing parents to define retention limits for children's location histories and messaging logs.

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR Compliance)

In accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), NexaGuard does not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13 without the explicit, verifiable consent of their parents or legal guardians. By registering an account and setting up the companion child app, you provide verifiable parental consent for processing the child's device data.

  • Request complete extraction of all stored records.
  • Directly purge logs from the control panel.
  • Request the permanent deletion of your parent account and all associated child node data by writing to our support team.
